Peppers Bluewater Resort

Peppers Bluewater is on State Highway 8 at Lake Tekapo, about 1.9 km from the village and lakeshore. Its 142 rooms have kitchens, which helps in a small town with few late restaurants.
Parking is free and breakfast is available daily from 7:00 to 10:00 for a fee. Guests rate the lake views and the kitchens; the most common complaint is a badly managed car park at busy times. Pets are not welcome.
Tekapo is a stop for the night sky and the lake colour, so one or two nights is plenty. Book ahead for clear-sky weekends and summer holidays: there are not many beds in the village.
