The Regent of Rotorua is a four-star property with 48 rooms that was renovated in 2024. It is about 9.6 km from Rotorua Airport.
Rotorua is a town you stay in for what is around it: the geothermal parks, the lakefront, and the evening cultural experiences covered in our Rotorua guide and geothermal guide. A smaller hotel with a recent refit is a sensible base for that.
Rotorua smells of sulphur in places, and some guests are surprised by it. It is normal and not a fault of any hotel.
